DAILY NEWS BOYS BASKETBALL TOP 10

(Records through Sunday, Dec. 3)

1. Harvard-Westlake (7-0): The Wolverines traveled to Arizona over the weekend and defeated Perry 63-51 in the Hoophall Classic. Trent Perry scored 24 points in the win. Harvard-Westlake will face undefeated St. Pius X-St. Matthias (2-0) at home on Wednesday.

2. Notre Dame (5-0): Mercy Miller had 38 points in Notre Dame’s 84-45 win over Fairfax. The Knights will have their first big test of the season Wednesday against Campbell Hall.

3. Sierra Canyon (5-1): The Trailblazers fell to a tough Desert Mountain team 81-74 in overtime in Arizona. Justin Pippen and Noah Williams had 23 points apiece in the loss. Sierra Canyon will face Crossroads (4-0) on Wednesday.

4. Crespi (8-1): Crespi suffered its first defeat of the season on Saturday, 53-50 to Pasadena in the championship game of the Rose City Classic. Joe Sterling and Peyton White were both named to the all-tournament team. The Celts should get back in the win column against El Camino Real on Wednesday.

5. West Ranch (3-2): The Wildcats continued their Foothill League winning streak with victories over Castaic and Canyon last week. West Ranch’s last league loss was on Jan. 31, 2020. The Wildcats will face a tough task against a balanced Saugus team Tuesday night.

6. St. Francis (8-1): The Golden Knights have won eight in a row since dropping their season opener. St. Francis capped last week with a 52-44 win over King’s Academy to win the King’s Academy Tournament. DeLan Grant had 22 points and nine rebounds and Mazi Mosley added 18 points and 11 rebounds in the final.

7. Campbell Hall (2-2): The Vikings have won two in a row, including a 71-64 victory over Basha from Arizona. Baron Bellamy was a perfect 7 of 7 from the field for 19 points. Four other players scored in double digits for Campbell Hall. A big game against Notre Dame is on the docket Wednesday.

8. Thousand Oaks (6-1): The Lancers traveled north and played well in the Morro Bay Harding Invitational, defeating Clovis East 57-55 on Saturday. Elias Chin and Trent MacLean continue to impress.

9. Chaminade (9-1): The Eagles are off to a scorching start and had a big win Friday over Westlake. Bryce Goldman led the charge with 27 points and Jonas Thurman had 20 points. The Eagles are gaining experience early on against tough competition before the Mission League gauntlet arrives in early January.

10. Saugus (5-1): The Centurions are 2-0 in the Foothill League and completely outworked Valencia in their 71-50 victory Friday. Head coach Alfredo Manzano hit the century mark in wins last week and his team is fast and well-rounded. A matchup Tuesday with West Ranch will be the litmus test for this Saugus squad.

Also considered: Calabasas (6-0), Heritage Christian (3-3), St. Bonaventure (4-2), Village Christian (6-3), Westlake (6-2).
